SUCKIEST TRIP
It was July 17 we were going to get Carson Crocker to go to New York fishing with us. Us being my Dad, Kyla, and I. On the 18th we were on our way to New York for one of the longest rides I've been on.
All the way there we were told that they were getting at-least 3-4 king salmon a day. Going through Southern Maine and New Hampshire was perfect then all of a sudden my Dad notice something funny about the wheel of the car and how it felt. So we pulled over in Massachusetts at a gas station. Just as he guessed it was a flat tire. We were sitting there for like 20 minutes when he remembered that we have the AAA card. Kyla and Carson are like, “Oh yeah! We brought the skateboards.” We ended up waiting there for like 30-45 minutes for the dude to come and fix our tire. While we were waiting we skated and of course got yelled at for it by the store owner.
After all that we go back on the highway. The only thing that kept us for going insane was watching “Family Guy” for like 5 hours straight. We got so hungry we stopped at one of those highway stops and got Quiznos. That was only three hours into the trip we were almost out of Massachusetts at five. We drove three more hours till we wanted to stop in Herkimer, New York at a hotel. It was eight at night. So first until eight thirty we skated till someone called the manager saying we were running around the hotel, so that ended that. Then we went up to our room, put our bathing suits on and went swimming.
The next morning there was a Denny's right there so that's where we ate breakfast. While my Dad was packing back up from the night he gets a call to the room telling him that we were running through the halls. When he knew we were outside skating in the parking lot, so he was like “There out skating in the parking lot”
They were like “oh”.
We think it was the jerky old people that called the night before. We got Finally going Carson didn't pee before we left, so like 10 minutes into being on the highway we stopped at a rest area that was the best one ever. You know how we only have soda machines here? well there they have energy drink machines so I was like, “OMG!!! I need a Red Bull” (I think its the best drink ever). My dad doesn't really approve of me drinking them but I still do. After we left there you can guess what happened......we watched “Family Guy” for 2 more hours.
We got to Fair Haven NY. Its the most beautiful place ever. We had a camp right on Lake Ontario, but the house right across from our camp was getting construction. Once we got there Carson and I found a hill to bomb on our skateboards of course Carson took bailed not once, not twice, but three times and the construction dudes laughed at him and so did I. While at the camp we got something productive done. We made a new youtube of me riding down one of the big hills sitting on my skateboard falling off into a ditch.
The day was finally here the day all of us have been waiting for the day we go fishing. It kinda sucked to start off with we had to wake up at 4 in the morning then the car started to break down half way to the dock. We wear out on the water for 6 hours going up and down from the waves at like 1mph so it was the most expensive boat ride ever at $700 with the nastiest energy drinks. IT SUCKED!!
On the way back home my dad was all stressed till we finally found the Ford dealership to fix our car. It was a blown piston. we figured we'd wait there like 3 hours before they would take outcar but they took us right in, it took only like an hour to fix the car so we were back on the rode pretty quickly. On the way home we got pulled over for going 82mph on the highway. Carson fell asleep in Massachusetts so we tricked him into thinking we were in Southern Maine. He believed us till we had to convince him we were not really. It was 10 when we finally got home. We went out to eat a Texas Roadhouse sense my dad lives really close to the one in Scarborough we got home and went right to bed...after “Family Guy”` of course.
